No G&R Yet

We just found out that we will not be having our G&R tomorrow. We're obviously disappointed but there's nothing we can do. There's a Lang Son official who is out of the province and we are waiting for him to return. Our agency staff said they will call us tomorrow to let us know if the G&R will be Thursday or Friday. Friday is a little concerning only because we have hotel reservations through next Friday and return airline tickets for next Friday. They are changeable but it would be nice to not have to deal with that. So, we will keep you posted as we learn more.

As for today...after the visit to Ho Chi Minh's museum, we came back to the hotel and just wandered. We found our way to a Highland Coffee and had an enjoyable snack of french fries and a brownie. Brad had a smoothie and seems to be fine (we wondered if the ice used to make the smoothie might be a problem). Then, we wandered toward the Hanoi Opera. Leave it to me to find the most upscale shops in the city: Cartier, Louis Vuitton. We took a cab back to the hotel because we made so many turns that we weren't sure exactly how to get back ourselves...plus it was hot so the air conditioned taxi was completely worth $2. You can go about anywhere worth going by taxi for $2US. Very nice!
