Say a word of prayer for Brad's brother Travis. He's defending his dissertation today. We are so incredibly proud of him. He's not only got lots o' smarts but he's passionate about what he studies. We look forward to seeing him pass his enthusiasm and love for the environment on to his colleagues and students in his new role as Dr. Travis.
Speaking of Travis...He sent us this clip from the Daily Show. It's definitely worth watching the whole thing.
It's really cooled off here. I love it. I had two really bad days yesterday and Wednesday. I'm determined to have a "happy day" today. Our nine year (!) anniversary is Saturday and we're celebrating all weekend so I have lots to be happy about. To get my spirits up, here's a list of things that float my boat these days:
1. Shopping at Target
2. New fall shoes from Payless
3. Halloween-y decor
4. Tom Cruise, Bill Hader, Matt McConaughey and Robert Downey, Jr. in Tropic Thunder
5. The clothes from Sex and the City: The Movie
6. Not teaching this fall
7. Weedy being back in the states
8. Good food and good friends
